I Tiana have made dinner for my family 3 nights in a row! In a row mind you. Now when you take into account that 2 of those night were weeknights, you'll have you're answer. I also came up with the ideas all by myself. I know right! And no macaroni and cheese was not one of them.

Now lest you be comparing yourselves to me and some fictional idealism of the perfect homemaker/mother and all that racket and find yourselves coming up short; let me tell you the rest of the story...

I have laundry piled a couple of feet high on the couch which some would consider part of the Wasatch mountains due to it's permanency, I don't think I've touched my kitchen floor with more than a spot cleaning in over a week, and I'm not sure the last time I cleaned my entire bathtub/walls.

That would be why I said Betty and not Martha.

Oh well...I'll just keep on plugging...

Bumps in my nose??

Yesterday I was standing next to Roman outside when he started breathing in out through his nose loudly. I asked him if he needed a tissue and his response was "No, I just have some bumps in my nose". I told him I thought they were boogies and not bumps. He was quite adamant that they were not boogies, just bumps.

Planetarium - Catch Up For Jan 09

My boss gave me a gift certificate to the Planetarium for Christmas. We took the kids to see Santa vs. the Snowman. Cute. It was in 3D, so it was just as much fun watching the kids as it was the show. Anyway these pictures are from that.

What am I going to do now?

Muffin goes to sleep with a "sleepy show", which is one of the baby Einstein videos. They have classical music playing while different pictures are shown. The other night she was not going to sleep, finally I went in and told her I was turning off her sleepy show. She said to me "What am I going to do now?". "Go to sleep" I said. To which she responded "ooooohhhhh".

Wide Eyed Big Mouthed LBR

We decided since the interest rates have dropped, that we would take advantage of them and refinance. The appraiser came by yesterday. The first thing LBR said to the appraiser when he walked in the door was, "we have some cracks and holes in the walls, I think they are broken".

Here comes Santa Clause and I can cry if I want to...

Muffin refused point blank to sit on Santa's lap. It was all I could do to convince her to stand next to him for the picture. LBR has not had a problem with Santa since his first Christmas. Santa is his buddy. Last year at the mall he wanted to hang out with Santa and color. Santa finally had to tell him that there were other children he needed to talk to.

Sushi!?!

Sushi has become an expletive at our house. It is hollered at random, mostly by the kids. They think it is hilarious and bust out in laughter every time. Sushi replaced "baby bottle". Don't ask me why, some things just can not be explained beyond the fact that they are definitely their father's children. LBR comes up to me and whispers in my ear "Mom, do we have a plan for Sushi?". They don't even know what it is. Crazy kids.

Taco, Burrito...

A few weeks back I took the kids out to CA to visit family. We stayed at my sister's house. She has two older girls and then two younger boys. One boy is just older than LBR and the other is just younger than Muffin. So, one evening her youngest spilled water all over himself. My sister took his clothes off so she could change them out for dry ones. Well, in the process her son decided to take his diaper off too. LBR saw him and said "Ahhh, I see a little burrito!".

Dinner Prayer

LBR's dinner prayer goes something like this:

• Dear Heavenly Father
• Welcome for da' food
• Welcome that had nice day
• I'm saying the prayer (yelled at Muffin)
• Welcome that
• Be quiet it's my turn (yelled at Muffin)

So cute, welcome instead of thank you.

New Job

I have recently started a new job with Jacobsen Const. The project I am on is the new Mall downtown. It's a huge project with tons of cool features, like a retractable roof (skylight). Ok, so I finally got pictures downloaded from the last 2 months. These were from This is the Place State Park. They had a pre-Halloween trick or treat event. The kids went around the park and got treats, made crafts, and participated in activities. They dipped candles, went on pony rides, hay ride, train rides, and even made their way through a small corn maze. We had a great time!
